He is survived by: his wife Thelma Hensley; his children, Gilbert Edward Hensley (Amy Griffith), Brian (Vena Hensley) and Charlene (Bobby Bundy); his brother Gibby Hensley (Navada); his grandchildren, Codey Hensley (Cobrianna), Katerina Joseph (Casier), Justin Hensley, Lindsey Rich (Jacob), Natasha Hart (Brian), Mckenzie Gladson (Blake), Mahalah Whitehead (Lonnie), Jessica Bundy (Nick Shackleford) and Eric Ruiz; and his great grandchildren, Adaline, Grayson, Noah, Knox, Belle, Hazel, Lainey, Josiah, Jamison, Westin and Parker.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith Full Gospel Pentecostal Church of God (12628 State Hwy 987, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
