We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2019, at the age of 91, Joseph Earl Powell (Smithfield, Kentucky), born in Turners Station, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Powell and Mamie Alice Neal Powell; and his brothers, William "Bill" Randolph Powell and Lorenzo "L. B.". He is survived by: his wife Helen C. Greear Powell of Smithfield, KY; his children, Darius Patrick Powell (Kitty) of Goshen, KY and Rhonda Celenza (Joe) of Park Ridge, IL; his sisters, Juanita Sanders of Turners Station, KY and Marilyn Horn of Smithfield, KY; his grandchildren, Mason Powell (Kristi) of Louisville, KY, Brett Powell (Sitha) of Louisville, KY and Mia Celenza of Park Ridge, IL; and his great grandchild Kennedy Morgan Powell.
