We announce the death of Evelyn Jones of Smithland, Kentucky, who passed away on July 11, 2026, at the age of 82. Evelyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas L. Jones; her parents, Truman Williams and Ocie Durham Williams; and her siblings, Ray Williams and Betty Rose Flowers.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Brooks (Willie) of Smithland, Starla Neal (Richie) of Smithland, Thomas Wayne Jones (Kim) of Symsonia and Ronnie Jones of Smithland; her sisters, Shirley Essertier of Salem and Barbara Browning (Danny) of Marion; and her grandchildren, Daniel, Jordan, Mikey, Nikki, Dakota, Jessica, Channing, Andrew, Aaron and Carsyn. She is also survived by 24 great grandchildren.
