She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Wesley Reeves and Beulah Sutton Reeves; and her son-in-law Thomas "Tom" Lasters. She is survived by: her children, Leann M. Lasters and Kent R. Achterhof (Jean M. Litton); and her granddaughters, Josie Lasters King (Justin King), Julie Lasters Adcock (Jim Bowie Adcock), Kristen Achterhof and Katie Achterhof Cleversey (William Cleversey).
In 1976, she was honored with the National V.F.W. Freedom Foundation Award in Governmental Activities for Teaching—an award she treasured deeply.
