With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bert Edward Higginbotham of Smiths Grove, Kentucky, who passed away on December 15, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Bert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bert farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Edd" Higginbotham and Mae Elmore Higginbotham; his sister Janie Carol Higginbotham Hatler; his grandson Owen Lee Higginbotham; and his great grandchild Ella Araya.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Lynn Bardin Higginbotham; his children, Bert Lee Higginbotham (Tonya) and Samantha Lynn Higginbotham Harrison (Benjamin); his granddaughter Taylor Paige Shannon (Aaron) of Lexington; his stepgranddaughters, Katherine Lyons (Stephan) and Lauren Hagan (Abele Araya); and his brother-in-law Buford Hatler of Bowling Green.
