She was predeceased by: her parents, Burl Lee and Flora Elizabeth Brooks Alvey; and her siblings, Leroy Alvey, Darrell Alvey, Danny Alvey, Gary Alvey and Beverly Meredith.
She is survived by: her children, Pam Haley, Beverly Drye-Broderick (Danny), Penny Drye, Letitia Drye-Stilwell (Chris) and James Cummings; and her brother Donald Ray Alvey (Cindy). She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Contributions to the American Cancer Society may be made in memory of Ms. Cummings.
