She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Harold Alband and Jenny Pearl Austin Alband; her husband Melvin Eugene Ping; her brothers, Charles Tedman Alband and Gerald Paul Alband (Rosemary); and her great grandchild Joshua Devin Stringer.

She is survived by: her children, Harold Thomas Ping (Joyce) of Monticello, Clara Jean Holder of Somerset and Mary Geraldine Carson (Robert) of Somerset; her grandchildren, Christy Ann Soper (Jamie), Tim Haynes (Alecia), Jerehme Eugene Carson (Chelsea), Michael Seth Carson, Caitlin Faith Carson and Andrew Thomas Carson; and her stepgrandchildren, Mark Manning, Renee Eads, Tisha Nevels, Cordelia Keith, Scotty Hodge, Jason Guinn and Tyler Guinn. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
