With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Billie Sue Statzer of Somerset, Kentucky, born in Norton, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 12, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Billie Sue may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Billie Sue touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eura Williams Murphy and Otis R. Murphy; her husband Robert Fred Statzer; and her siblings, Edward Murphy, Robert Murphy, Evelyn Vance, Helen Summers and Earleen Arnold.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Statzer (Dora) of Oregon City, OR and Kim Perkins (Jeff) of Somerset, KY; her grandchildren, William Perkins, Madelyn Perkins and Grace Perkins; and her sister Louise Murphy Robinette of Powell Valley, VA. She is also survived by neighbors and friends.
