He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Orville and Beulah Mae Muncie Dawson; his wife Joyce Dawson; his son Calvin Dawson, Jr.; his grandchildren, Christina Pirtle (Kale), Cody Baker (Lisset), Dylan Baker, Magain Maupin (Noah), Angelina Lear (Dylan), Kaleigh Dawson, Emma Dawson, Leigha Dawson, Lily Dawson, Brandon Dawson and Taylor Dawson; and his children, James Dawson and Regina Baker Dawson.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Dowell and Martin Funeral Home (365 W Main St, Mt Vernon, KY 40456).
