With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darlene Sears of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on June 7, 2025 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Darlene may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Darlene touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Gilliam and Gladie Ferguson Gilliam; and her siblings, Robert Gilliam, Richard Gilliam and Wanda Gilliam.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Sears; her children, Roger Gilliam of Somerset, Richard Gilliam of Somerset, Loretta Watkins (Don) of Columbus, Ohio and Stephanie Atwell (Ernest) of Columbus, Ohio; her brothers, Tony Gilliam of Columbus, Ohio and Steve Gilliam of Columbus, Ohio; and her godson Isaac Grote.
