Eleanor Jones Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 9, 2025, at the age of 90, Eleanor Jones of Somerset, Kentucky passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Eleanor Jones to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Hansford and Helen Irene Poynter Hansford; her husband Edgar J. Jones "EJ"; and her siblings, Sherman, Willard Hansford and Faye Estep.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Jones (Cathy) of Somerset, Carolyn Troxtell of Somerset and Janice Smith (Blaine) of Science Hill; and her sisters, Iva Dean Price of Somerset and Linda Stevenson (Stan) of Nancy. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home (2110 KY-914, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
