He is survived by: his wife Judith Poynter (Burdine); his children, Troy Poynter (Karen), JoAnn McKinney (James) and Brent Poynter (Trish); his sister Hazel Head; his grandchildren, Colten Poynter, Samuel McKinney, Timothy McKinney, Andrew Oakes (Cara), Brandi Loos, Catilyn Patterson, Mariah J. Sears and Chantel Meece (Junior); his great grandchildren, Braxton Sears, Jazmyn Oakes, Savannah Oakes, Landon Oakes, Bailee Oakes, Ellen Oakes, Caden Oakes, Connor Owen Loos, Ryan Henry Loos, Sam Loos, Brantley Patterson and Canden Patterson; and his pet Daisy May.
