He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Richard and Clara Simpson Yahnig; his wife Pearl Jones; his siblings, Johnny Yahnig, Harry Yahnig, Christine Yahnig Knopp, Richard Yahnig, Dudley Yahnig, Albert Yahnig and Jessie Yahnig Dalton; and his son-in-law Donald Greene.
He is survived by: his daughter Judith Greene (Bill Broussard); his granddaughter Kimberly Greene of Somerset; and his sister Josephine Yahnig Elliott of Guymon, Oklahoma..
