He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Fields and Nellie Fields (Adkins); and his siblings, Joyce Leary, Eugene Fields and Julian Thomas Fields.
He is survived by: his wife Veda Gaye; his children, MaDonna Compton (Mitch) of Somerset, KY, Julian Fields (Noreen) of Pikeville, KY and Sonia Proudfoot (Glenn) of Somerset, KY; his sister-in-law Eleanor Fields of Smithville, OH; his granddaughters, Hailey Fields and Abigail Langfels; and his great grandchildren, Malachi and Ezra.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or to the Alzheimer Dementia Association.
