Gerema Corder Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerema Corder of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on May 22, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel O. Kilgore and Geneva Napier Kilgore; her husband Harold E. Corder Sr.; and her brothers, Jim Kilgore, Eugene Kilgore, Bob Kilgore and Winston Kilgore.
She is survived by: her sons, Harold Eugene "Beaver" Corder II of Somerset and George Bradford Corder (Katharine) of Somerset; her grandchildren, Abigail Corder, Katherine Corder, Josee Corder, Ella Corder and Aiden Corder; her brothers, Daniel Kilgore (Dolly) of LaFollette, TN, Dennis Kilgore of LaFollette, TN and Darrell Kilgore (Judy) of LaFollette, TN; and her sisters-in-law, Shirley Kilgore, Patty Kilgore, Mamie Kilgore and Linda Kilgore. She is also survived by extended family members, church family, neighbors and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home (1046 KY-80, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home (1046 KY-80, Somerset, KY 42503).
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to either Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Pulaski Alzheimer's Center in memory of Gerema Corder.
