Glenda Sue Mayne Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Glenda Sue Mayne of Somerset, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 27, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Glenda Sue leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Glenda Sue may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne King and Opal King (Rogers); her former husband Mendol Russell Hoover Sr.; her husband Aaron Mayne; and her uncle Frank Rogers.
She is survived by: her sons, Mendol Russell Hoover Jr. (Hope) of Versailles, KY and Timothy Wayne Hoover (Kimberly) of Nancy, KY; her uncle C. B. King of Florida; and her grandchildren, Quinton Kyle Hoover, Gwendolyn Hoover, Cassadee Isabella Hoover and Nathaniel Chase Becknell. She is also survived by other loving family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Island City Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
