He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Turpen and Lola Garner Turpen; his son Scott Edward Turpen; and his brother James Turpen. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Turpen of Nancy; his sons, Joel Howard Turpen of Nancy and Barry Len Turpen (Kim) of Nancy; and his grandchildren, Jason Turpen (Kim), Kyle Turpen (Sarah), Lacey Thacker (Keith), Courtney Fry (Bryson), Nick Turpen, Natalie Turpen, Tristan Turpen, Alley Turpen, Riley Turpen and Claire Turpen. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and other family members.
