He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Godby and Elois Wiles Godby; his wife Anna-Lee Hudson Godby; his parents-in-law, Dennie and Selectia Hudson; his brothers, Charles Godbey and Bill Godbey; and his great grandchild Paisley Kate Godby.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Simpson and Murrell Godby (Dianne) of Science Hill; his siblings, Geraldine Jones (Don), Phillip Godbey (Darlene), Emery Godby and Darlene Haste (Steve); his grandchildren, April Carnes (Sydney) of Jamestown, TJ, Ian Avery of Somerset and Jason Brewer of Somerset; his great grandchildren, Logan Carnes, Emmalee Silverman (Josiah), MJ Carnes (Kylie), Reagan Godby, Stella Carnes, Kingston Godby, Willow Godby and Hadlee Godby; and his great great grandchildren, Oakleigh Carnes, Holdyn Silverman, Emby Kate Carnes and Weston Silverman. He is also survived by his family, friends.
