He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Taylor and Emmie Ridner Smith; his siblings, Roy Lee Taylor, Charles Taylor, Elvis Smith (Judy), Ruth Smith and Gathleen Smith; and his brother-in-law Ronnie Williamson.

He is survived by: his wife Mildred Taylor; his children, Jeff Taylor (Charlene) of Somerset, Johnny Taylor (Kim) of Lincoln County, Joe Taylor (Becky) of Somerset, Jacky Taylor of Somerset and Robin Marcum (Cliff) of London; his siblings, Ernie Smith, Jesse Smith of Somerset, Margie Helton (Kirby), Lillie Williamson, Mary Bray (Eugene) of Somerset and Linda Robertson (Danny); and his grandchildren, Lucas Taylor (Alecia), Neveah Taylor, Chance Taylor, Alex Taylor, Brittani Moberly (Alex), Madyson Taylor, Michael Taylor, Taylor Burton, Zachary Burton and James Burton. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
