It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James VanHook (Somerset, Kentucky), who passed away on August 4, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall VanHook and Daisy VanHook; and his brother Bill VanHook. He is survived by: his wife Christa Maelzer VanHook of Somerset; his daughters, Jeannie Wood (Todd) of Somerset, Lisa Bryant (Martin) of Manchester, TN and Carla Jones (Chris) of Waddy; his grandchildren, Christina Cain (Stephen), Billy Holder (Amanda), Jon Wood, Jenna Wood, JT Coffey, Taylor Letner (Ralph), Sheyann Miller (Robbie), Erika Shouse, Dylan Jones (Cheyenne) and Logan Jones (Hannah); his great grandchildren, Kelbi, Kolten, Kasin Cain, Wyatt, Abigail Holder, Sophia, Channing, Liam, Blakely Letner, Carson, Tyson, Mason Miller and Elaina Jones; and his siblings, Bob VanHook (Fonda) and Shelby Jean (Price-Williams). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family members.
