He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Phelps and Marjorie B. Phelps; his niece Misty Lynch; and his nephew Clay Emerson. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Phelps; his children, Tiffany Farmer, Timothy Farmer, Chris Farmer (Angie) and LaKiesha Farmer; and his sisters, Sherry Waddle (Thomas), Rebecca Lynch and Vickie McKinney (Edward).
