He is survived by: his wife Linda Gibson (Colyer); his sons, Bill Gibson and Jerry Gibson, Jr. (Tammy); his brother Arvil Lee Gibson (Lena); his grandchildren, Jordan Gibson (Mahala) and Jacob Gibson; his aunt Nancy Sutherland; and his close friends, Brian and Claudia Watson.
