She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Sears and Melda Whitaker Sears; her husband Harold Colyer; her sons, Roland Douglas Colyer and Carrol Colyer; her sisters, Sylvia Whitaker, Connie Eversole and Lucille Goodin; her grandchildren, Kyle Roberts, Nina Mae Buster and Jazilyn Martin; her son-in-law Don Turner; and her siblings-in-law, Rick Mullins and Cheryl L. Sears.
She is survived by: her daughters, Genevieve Turner and Sylvia Roberts (Tim); her siblings, Davis Sears, Gary Sears (Cheryl E.), Barbara Mullins, Linda Price (Edwin) and Kay Sears; her grandchildren, Christopher Colyer (Jaleesa), Jasmine Martin, Josh Roberts, Dr. Travis Martin (Lisa), Darrin Turner, Scott Turner and Rachel Grigsby (Zach); and her great grandchildren, Abigail Colyer, Adalynn Colyer, Ashlynn Colyer, Grayson Don Grigsby, Austin Carrender, Jet Owens, Gabriel Martin, Ethan Roberts and Avery Martin. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Gideon Bible Plan.
