He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Hail and Cora Williamson Hail; his daughter Karen Annette Jones; and his siblings, Albert Hail, Delmer Hail, Paul Hail and Dessie Coffey.
He is survived by: his wife Noralie Williamson Hail; his daughters, Sharon Spooner (Bryan) of Tallahassee, FL and Carol Ann Thomas (David) of Nicholasville; his son-in-law Michael Jones of Tallahassee, FL; his sister Martha Berry (Richard) of Torrance, CA; and his grandchildren, Melinda McClellan (Evan), Jennifer Harris (Jason), Bobby Lolley III (Caity), Morgan Young (Latra), Janice Simpson, Susan Mounce (Kevin), Carl Ockert III, Jeremy Ockert (Chelsea), Ellie, Maddi Ockert, Zach and Mason Atwell.
