She was predeceased by: her parents, Londis Elza and Carolyn Sue Carlton (Poynter). She is survived by: her husband Phillip Vaughn; her daughter Whitney Carlton; her grandchildren, Makynna Denney and Liam Carlton; and her siblings, Beverly Anderson (Richie), Jimmy Carlton (Marsha), Paula Gilliam (George), Leca Napier (Caleb, Jr.), David Carlton (Teresa), Steven Carlton, Kevin Carlton and Nathan Carlton (Jessica). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
