We announce the death of Kathy Lynn Berens of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 78. Kathy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthew Mancz and Shirley Kemp Mancz; her husband Thomas Lee Berens; and her brother Brian Mancz. She is survived by: her daughters, Melissa Lancaster (Craig) of Somerset, Kelley Hoffman (Jeff) of Wisconsin and Jennifer Lang (Jonathan) of Fort Thomas, KY; her siblings, Barry Mancz (Debbie) of Kettering, OH, Matthew Mancz (Cathy) of Dayton, OH, Bruce Mancz (Linda) of Arcanum, OH, Beth Fogarty (Ed) of Dayton, OH and Lisa Kirkendall (Kevin) of Dayton, OH; her grandchildren, Jace Lancaster, Caden Lancaster, Ella Lancaster and Piper Lang; and her siblings-in-law, Alan Berens of Kettering, OH and Mary Beth Mancz.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home (2100 E Stroop Rd, Dayton, OH 45429). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (1625 Calvary Ave, Dayton, OH 45409).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St Jude, St Vincent de Paul, or any animal care organization of your choice.
