He is survived by: his wife Bernita Dodson; his children, Michael Dodson (Kory) of Lexington and Kimberly Solberg (Glenn) of Bowling Green; his brother Bruce Dodson of Ohio; his grandchildren, Christine Curtis (Jonathon), Tyler Dodson (Elizabeth), Brandon Dodson, Chase Solberg (Sydney), Courtney O'Daniel (Carson), Savannah Stauffer and Owen Stauffer; and his great grandchildren, Olivia Curtis and Katherine Curtis.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home (2110 KY-914, Somerset, KY 42503). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home (2110 KY-914, Somerset, KY 42503).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
