He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hargis and Roxie Taylor Hargis; and his brothers, William Arnold Hargis and Donald Hargis. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jewell Hargis; his children, Lisa Hargis of Sarasota, FL, Loretta Maybrier (Wayne) of Somerset and Alan Pritchard (Sonya) of Richmond, KY; his stepchildren, Sheila Compton (David) of Somerset, Vicki Evans of Lexington and Scott Evans (Angela) of Somerset; his siblings, Ernest Denver Hargis of Panama City, FL, Robert Eugene Taylor (Nina) and Shirley Dykes (Gerald) of Somerset; and his grandchildren, Jacob Edwards, Jennifer Edwards, Sarah Pritchard, Emily Conley, Drew Ratliff, Courtney Bailey, Kendra Salmons and Brianna Evans. He is also survived by six great grandchildren; extended family members, neighbors and friends.
