She was predeceased by: her parents, Grant and Helen Irene Comley, Sr. (Rose); her husband Clarence Spears; and her siblings, Grant Comley, Jr. and Jeanie Comley.

She is survived by: her son Bill Simpson (Mona) of Somerset; her siblings, Lee Comley of Lexington, Ann Spears of Somerset and Mary Stinnett of Lexinton; her grandchildren, Kris and Murdock Simpson; her great grandchildren, Bailey Grace Simpson, Porter McKlain Simpson and Lilly Renee Jackson; and her nieces and nephews, Nancy Whitlow, Monie McCulloch, Dessi Comley, Smitty Stinnett, Ottie Comley and Doug Comley.
