It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Linda Joyce Vanhook of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on February 12, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Everett and Ruby Ella Burdine (Price); her son-in-law Brian Lee Cook; and her sisters, Sue Janet Moore and Brenda Hibbard-Howard.
She is survived by: her husband Hershel Vanhook; her children, Jessica Cook (Shannon Davidson), Sean Vanhook (Becky) and Byron VanHook (Sheena); her granddaughters, Brianna Cook (Travis Rickett), Mariah Cook and Audrey Vanhook; and her sister Judy Poynter.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made through memorial contributions to a fund created in loving honor of Linda Vanhook and her memory.
