She was predeceased by: her parents, Millard Rankin and Ada Bell Martin Rankin; her husband Vernon Petrey; her daughter Debbra Jones; her former husband Roland Jones; and her siblings, Joe Rankin, Roy Rankin, Carl Rankin, Thelma Alridge, Rena Burress, Loretta Rankin, Sarah Henderson and Norma Cain.
She is survived by: her stepson Vernon Petrey Jr. (Jody) of Burnside; and her niece Margo Bisset of Lexington, KY.. She is also survived by nephews and other family members.
