Onvie Van Hook Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Onvie Van Hook of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on April 26, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha Hook and Joseph Siah Van Hook; and his wife Norma Jean Van Hook (Meece). He is survived by: his children, Onvetta Herrin (Dale) of Indiana, Barbara Lowery of Kentucky, Gary Van Hook (Mary) of Kentucky and Mary Sears; his sisters, Jessie Carlton of Indiana and Wanda Fuqua of Indiana; and his grandchildren, Tracy Bradley, Lisa Ramos, Kristy Roberts, Brian Lowery, Kelsey Lowery, Jamie Sams, John Phelps, Autumn Van Hook and Scott Tomlinson. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren and a few great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503.
