He was predeceased by: his parents, Vestal Hargis and Bertha Hargis Taylor (Slavey); and his sister Brenda Herrin (GA). He is survived by: his wife Linda Hargis (Stogsdill); his daughters, Vickie King (Chad), Debra New (Tony) and Miranda Turner (Will); his grandchildren, Heather Heuberger (Tyler), Shawna Walden (Cain), Jacob New (Leigh-Ann), James New (Kaelyn), Gabriel Turner, Alexander Turner, Randalin Turner, Tytan Turner and Odelia Turner; his sibling's children, Amy Wethington (Casey) and Mark Herrin (Vonda); and his aunt Joyce Hall. He is also survived by four great-nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Main Chapel (165 KY-2227, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
