He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Thomas and Darvel Thomas; and his siblings, Russell and Atha. He is survived by: his sister Ada Faye Nevels (Richard) of Alabama; and his children, Charlie Thomas (Elizabeth) of Paint Lick, Tabitha Crispin (Jeff) of Kansas and Russell Thomas (Sarah) of New Zealand. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Woodstock Community Center.
