He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cornele and Pauline Johnston Cornele; his wife Helen C. Blossom Cornele; his brother Robert Cornele; and his granddaughter Susan Weidner.
He is survived by: his sister Judith Weidner (Charles); his grandson Casey Weidner (Denise) of Middletown; his great grandchildren, Melissa Kennard, Nicklaus Weidner and Abigayle Weidner; his great great grandchildren, Alexis and McKinnan; his grandchildren, Jaxon and Ayden; his brothers, Terry Cornele of Middletown and Tim Cornele of Middletown; and his close friends, Hugh, Kim Haydon, Pat and Linda Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the J. Richard and Helen Cornele Scholarship Fund in care of Somerset Community College, 808 Monticello Street, Somerset, Kentucky 42503.
