He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl and Jeanette Louise Ertel Evans; his grandmother Katie Ertel; his stepparents, William and Mabel Holcombe; his siblings, William "Billy" Holcombe and Catherine Dowers (Joe); and his brother-in-law Michael Allen.
He is survived by: his former wife Rosalean Evans; his sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Allen of Fairfield, OH and Julia Weber (Dave) of Cincinnati, OH; his sister-in-law Phyllis Holcombe of Batavia, OH; and his siblings' children, Christy, Dorothy and Larry Baker. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins; and his little lap dog.
