He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Mize and Lucy M. Bates Mize; and his wife Ida M. Mize. He is survived by: his sons, Sherman E. Mize, Jr. (Leslie Taylor) of Somerset and Harley Mize (Kasey) of East Bernstadt; his grandchildren, Alexxus Richardson and Emory Mize; and his aunt Carolyn Meece of Somerset. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co & Crematory (113 N Main St, Somerset, KY 42501). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Mill Springs National Cemetery (9044 KY-80, Nancy, KY 42544).
