She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Don McAlpin; her parents, Herschel Vanhook and Lucille Vanhook; and her brother-in-law Michael Ledford. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Josh McAlpin, Zack McAlpin and Mandy Young (Brian); her siblings, Patricia Cox, Jenny Ledford and Rippy Vanhook (Diann); her grandchildren, Bella McAlpin, Leighton McAlpin, Haley McAlpin, Christian Young, Lyla Young and Gabriel Young; and her aunt Susie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jean Waddle Care Center in Susie's memory.
