We announce the death of Tammy Lynn Bates of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 47. Tammy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Tammy’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Frank Bates (Huda), Jackie, Howard Keeton and Jess Bowling. She is survived by: her parents, Johnny Bates (Connie) of Tyner, KY and Rebecca Lynn Bowling Bates of Somerset; her siblings, Gladys Mae Bates of Somerset and John David Bates (Heather) of Somerset; and her aunts, Annette Boggs of Annville, KY, Freda Huff of Mason, OH and Donna Grace Lakes of Annville, KY. She is also survived by three half-sisters; two half-brothers.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cornett's Chapel Cemetery (266 Cornett Chapel Rd, Annville, KY 40402).
