With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vergis Barefoot Harper of Somerset, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Nelson and Doritha Bea Harper (Phelps); his wife Wanda Harper; and his siblings, Ophia Brower, Ora McHaffey, Allene Dye, James Orville Harper, Jewell Mercer and Anna Warren.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Ray Harper, Karen Ann Harper and Norman Harper (Renee); his grandchildren, Jacob Allen Harper (Brittany), Kaitlyn Stapleton (Dylan), Kimberly Pretorius (Andre) and Jonathan McClendon; his great grandchildren, Leandra, Ian, Hunter Harper, Kenzly Heuberger, Charlie Stapleton, Remington Kate Stapleton and Grayson Pretorius; his caregiver Brenda Sue Dye Coner; and his friend Patty Anderson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and His special niece.
