He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Dee Emerson and Lucy Floyd Emerson; and his siblings, Arnold Emerson, Homer Emerson, Ray Emerson, Orlena Wall and Grace Hixson.
He is survived by: his son Joel Emerson (Rebekah) of Noblesville, IN; his grandchildren, Ethan Emerson, Alan Emerson and Carol Emerson; his sister Mary Lou Griffin (Blaine) of Eubank; his nephew Danny Hixson; and his granddaughter Gretta Griffin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and other family members.
