He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Tyree and Nannie Tyree of Pittsburg, KY; his wife Eula Mae Tyree; his siblings, Ovie Tyree, Nola Yancey, Verda Doepel, Gladys Yates, Mabel Joseph, Louise Jervis, Jay J. Tyree and Donald L. Tyree; and his grandson Ty Savoca.
He is survived by: his sons, Bill Barnett (Dianna Savoca) of Somerset, KY and David Bair (Vernon D. Tyree); his brother Eugene Tyree; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Barnett (Corey) of Somerset, KY, Annie Barnett (John Wesley) of Richmond, KY, Ashley Barnett (Crystal) of Somerset, KY, Todd Jenkins (Justin) of Union, KY, Heather Irwin (Joe), ShyAnne Irwin (Samantha Savoca) of Elizabethtown, KY and Leslie Bair (Jonathan Bair). He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requested that expressions of sympathy may be taken in the form of donations in memory of Vernon Tyree's memorial at The Veterans Memorial Park.
