It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter James Cundiff of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on May 25, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Walter James leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Cundiff. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Cundiff; his children, Marty Larkin of Somerset and Tammie Bellar of Cleveland, OH; his grandson Brannon Bellar of Bardstown; and his brother Robert Cundiff (Mary) of Ferguson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home (2110 KY-914, Somerset, KY 42503). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
