He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Steven Syphax and Laura Tolle Syphax; and his brother Robert Syphax. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Fay Dean Syphax; his sons, James Steven Syphax (Steve) of Cincinnati, OH and Michael K. Syphax; his daughter-in-law Cynthia Ann of Somerset; his sister Sueann S. Thies of Cincinnati, OH; and his grandchildren, James Steven Syphax, Jr. (Stevie), Stephanie Faye Syphax Valentine, Stacy Elizabeth Syphax and Michael Lucas Dean Syphax.
