He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Burton and Thelma Carroll Burton; his wife Mary Burgin Burton; his son Rick Phillippi; his siblings, Jimmy Burton and Margaret Bell; and his siblings-in-law, Chester Gregory, Bell and Yvonne Burton.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Angela, Larry Phillippi and Joseph Phillippi (Steffanie); his great grandchildren, Jasmine Hall Preat (Chase), Callie Hall (Dawson Barron), Jaycie Hall, Peyton Phillippi, Tripp Phillippi, Harley Tucker, Kalin Tucker and Noah Tucker; his great great grandchildren, Walker Barron and Eleanor Preat; and his sister Joan Gregory of Somerset. He is also survived by extended family, neighbors and friends.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Heritage Hope Church of God in memory of Wendell Burton.
