We bid farewell to Wilma Jean Johnson of Somerset, Kentucky, born in Wheelwright, Kentucky, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 6, 2024 at the age of 90. Wilma Jean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cook and Elizabeth Cook; her son Gregory Johnson; and her sister Ruth Morford. She is survived by: her husband Virgil Johnson; her children, Michael R Johnson of Somerset, Elizabeth Johnson of Fairfax and Jean Johnson Cofer of Georgia; her siblings, Raymond Cook of Tennessee and Betty Chopper of Tennessee; her grandchildren, Crystal, Matt Dooley of North Carolina, Heather Johnson of Indiana, Corey, Jessica Johnson of Georgia, Katherine, Jeremy Rowland of South Carolina, Joshua Smoot of Virginia and Gracie Smoot of Virginia; her great grandchildren, Liam, Avery, Bennett and Everett; and her close friend Connie Senter. She is also survived by friends and other family members.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
