With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Winfred G Dodson of Somerset, Kentucky, who passed away on April 13, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Cleveland and Henryetta Reynolds Dodson; his siblings, Walter, Francis, Marcus, Lawrence "Jargo" Dodson and Naoma Dodson Cowan; and his nephew John Cowan.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Greer McClure; his daughter Joy Wheeldon (Ron) of Somerset, KY; his grandchildren, Kaley Wheeldon of Somerset, KY and Brannen Wheeldon (Annie) of Somerset, KY; his great grandchildren, Isaiah Hensley, Amelie and Reese Wheeldon; and his nieces and nephews, Becky Dilsaver (Darrell), Betsy Rodgers (Phil), Larry Dodson (Debbie), Rob Dodson, Jimmy, Jeff and Jerry Cowan.

In Lieu of Flowers, expressions of sympathy may be shared to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the First Baptist Church of Somerset.
