He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Ratliff and Arlie Armstong Ratliff; his wife Pamela Ruark Ratliff; his sisters, Glenda Cooper and Joyce Ratliff; and his sister-in-law Debbie Ratliff.

He is survived by: his son Mike "Rachet" Ratliff (Kassie) of South Shore, KY; his granddaughters, Micah Wellman (Bryce) of Robinson, IL and Savannah Ratliff of South Shore, KY.; and his brother Larry Ratliff of Garrison, KY..
