He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert "Bob" Bowman and Clara Updike Bowman; his wife Barbara Chapman Bowman; and his stepdaughter Debbie Curless. He is survived by : his children, Claude Bowman Jr. (Emily), Shane Bowman and Lynnsie Reynolds; and his stepchildren, Donald Cheek, Ricky Cheek and Gail Miller. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
