He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Watson and Eva L. Gordon Watson; his brother-in-law Charles R. Tharp; and his grandparents, L. C. Sr., Elizabeth Alice Gordon, Ray and Lilith Watson.

He is survived by: his sisters, Wanda Tharp, Eva Jo Nugent (Greg) of Lebanon and Alice Watteau (Jerry) of New Albany, Indiana; and his nieces and nephews, Brandi Ingram (Corey), Charles Lewis "Louche" Gaddie (Cristina Villegas), Caleb Nugent (Tanya) and Nena Olivier (Billy). He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews along with a great- great niece.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 5:00 PM.
